EWCM after ovulation?

Hi Doc,

Sorry to post so many questions, but I'm all confused!

I took Clomid days 3-7 of this cycle, had some sticky yellow CM on day 13 and some EWCM on day 14 and 15 so I thought ovulation proabably happened around day 14 or 15.

But then days 18 and 19 I had some pink and brown discharge (which you said didn't really mean anything one way or the other) and now on day 21 I have GOBS of EWCM - more than I have ever seen before in my life.

So what gives? Could I be ovulating now even though I finished the Clomid two weeks ago? Is there some other explanation?

Hi Minna, only an ovulation test can tell you when ur ovulating as it is very easy to get confused with all the different CMs during the cycle if this is ur first time noticing it. EWCM tends to come 3-4 days before ovulation.

But is it even possible to ovulate a full two weeks after finishing a round of Clomid?

I thought if Clomid was going to make me ovulate it would happen 5 to 9 days after I finished it.

Sigh . . . so what's the point of the stuff (Clomid) if I don't ovulate much more predictably on it than I do off of it?

I am on my 2nd round of clomid and it would appear that you ovulate around the 7th day after your last pill. Only a OPK can confirm this. Even though your on clomid to get a +OPK you still need to track it yourself(OPK) to make sure. Ease your mind this way.
