early ovulation & IUI

I use the OVACUE to predict my ovualtion. It measures saliva & vaginal secretions. It has a setting for clomid too....

It says my highest fertilty day is the 13th cd. My RE says I will not Ovulate until AFTER he sees me on the 14th. Then I will give myself the Ovidrel shot & perform the IUI in 36 hours. For the last 3 months, I have ovulated on the 12th CD. Re does not think it is possible for me to Ovulate on the 13th.

So...If I get there on CD14 & I have actaully ovulated on CD13, what will they do? Will I miss this cycle? CD14 is a sunday, & I do not think there will be anyone there to wash my husband's sperm. I dont want to be too pushy, but I am afraid I am going to miss this cycle & my goal is to be pregnnant before I am 40!

Also...DH's sperm count is 13.5mil...good motility & morph...but they want no BD from CD11 until IUI...does it lower it that much if we BD on CD12 the day b4 my OVACUE says I will ovulate?

Hey Mrsjosl,

I did IUI last month and yes it does lower sperm count. We bd the night before IUI and his sperm count after washing was 20million where as when they did the SA the month before being 3days before doing anything and it was 38million so it does make a big different. It takes a couple days to build sperm back up.

So do what the doctor says. Remember the ol saying 3 monkeys jumping on the bed and 1 fell and hurt his head and doctor said no more jumping on the bed..We still do the opposit what the doctor wants us to do but if you want postive result listen and dont be a monkey for not listening..

have you tested +opk yet??? what ever you do dont have sex the night before IUI wait till after IUI. Have sex three day before you IUI and after and after that..

I am about to leave for my IUI! It is a 2 hour drive to my RE!! I did not sleep a wink last night! I will probably come home & pass out from no sleep! lol Hope everyone has a blessed day!

Well I am home! Mild cramping...major spoiling by the DH. He took me for sushi (YUM) & a couples massage! I am on strict orders from DH to do nothing all day! lol yea right! When my 3 yr old gets home from school, I doubt he will agree....***babydust for us all!****

no he didnt, my RE is really into making it seem like you are not doing something to make a baby! It was fast & he said just think your getting a pap! lol I had an US saturday...there were 1 mature & 10+immature, he thinks only 1 will produce.

That is great news. Just making sure you have at least one mature before doing the IUI cause it would be worthless if you didnt. I like to watch out for people and make sure they dont get rip off spending money on something that is not worth. Wish you luck and cant wait to see a postive..
