Early Contractions?

At how many weeks can you start having contractions? I am 16 weeks and have been having contractions for the past few days. This is my 4th pregnancy and know that these are contractions I'm feeling. They are not painful, but I can tell when I'm having one.

Mamahue.. at 16 wks u shouldnt be having contractions. it is even kinda early for the braxton hicks ones. I would call ur doc if they get any worse.

Thats what I thought, but wanted a second opinion. It seems early. Dr.Q, what do you think?
