aww Simi, I was expecting a baby news :)

I have had friends that crossed the due date and they wait for a couple of days and then induce or do a C section. What u have to worry is the baby should not be in trauma staying in there longer than it should. Good Luck and keep noting ur symptoms and kicks and baby movements closely.

i heard that most women do not give birth on the due date given especially first time moms( both of my pg's were a week early) but if you are overdue if the baby isn't in any harm or the doctors fell that the baby might be to big they will induce right away but some doctors wait a week after due date

good luck you are almost there the last weeks are the hardest

i was almost 2 weeks overdue and finally i begged and cried enough and my doc enduced me to get my son out - he was way way to comfy and warm in my uterus and had no intention on coming out! He is 9 and still would be inside of me if he was given the choice - LOL!

Take care, the longest days are the last weeks!!

have they done an ultrasound or a stress test to see how big the baby is or if the baby is fine in there?

They said my son was gonna be over 10 pounds when i had my ultrasound done at the time of my due date and he was just 9 when he was delivered 2 weeks later so dont get too scared about the weight, they cant always say how big the baby will be/

and you are right about the guessing weight for my daughter my doctor guess nine pounds so they were really worried that the baby was going to be to big for me to carry for a few more weeks (at the time my starting weight was 115 and i am 5'1) so totally scared me i was already feeling heavy but after the u/s they said she was fine and when i delivered she was 7 pounds
