Dr. Vic or any other ectopic specialist PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi Dr. Vic. I read a bit about you and notice you are very involved and familiar with ectopic cases. I want to tell you a bit about my situation as brief as possible and please tell me what you think. I am 27 and my husband 29. We got pregnant last year for the first time I was 26 and it turned out to be ectopic in my right tube. We werent even trying and it was unplanned. I found out at about 4 weeks in June 2007 and my tube had to be removed. In December 2007 I did go for an hsg, and they said my left tube after a bit of pushing in the dye was open. Back track a bit, I never really knew what caused my ectopic. My new gyno says that from the pics of the surgery there is evidence of scar tissue, and looks like I may have had an infection when younger like chlamydia. I dont remember exactly but I do recall finding out of an infection when younger but I treated it as soon as i found out and so did my husband. After the ectopic I checked myself for stds to make sure and everything came out clear. I have been ttc for 9 months now. Just today I got my period so im going on 10. The last 3 cycles i did clomid 50mg and that didnt work either. My period is very regular, i also ovulate fine even without the clomid. I did bbt, Opks, and all the tracking for the 9 months of ttc so i dont understand if my tube is open what is going on? Could it be that stressing over it is really affecting it? Im honestly lost Dr. and I need some guidance. I dont know what to do next but give up trying like my husband says and maybe that way it will happen. Please tell me what you think of my situation. Do you think I have a chance at getting pregnant? What should I do? What am i doing wrong? I take flaxseed and my prenatals every night. Im heartbroken and dont know what I will do living my life w/out our own child. This is actually my last attempt at searching for answers. I need to take a break from all the pressure and stress but really want to know your thoughts first. Thank you so much!

Hi so i'm not the doctor, but the fact that your tube is open sounds great. I've heard that with one tube it does take longer to conceive though, so if you are sure you are o'ing then you might be on track. if you want to be more proactive you might try to get monthly checks to see which side you are o'ing on, and/or try to up your meds so you o on both sides.

Thank you for replying Maele. I know it will probably take me longer you are right but i honestly didnt think it would be this long especially when i got pregnant first time we werent careful the first time. I did do the u/s check one month and found out i was Oing on my left side where i have my tube but i didnt get pregnant that month either. My dr. didnt consider it necessary for me to keep getting u/s as that can get costly. My insurance hardly covers any fertility treatments. As for the meds, we agreed on me doing only 3 months since I do ovulate fine. Besides they give me the worst pains during ovulation. I just dont know what else to do next. Kind of a stuck feeling. Thank you for all your advice. Really appreciate it.
