She actually told me that if my HPT's are negative at this point, a blood test would be too. What do you think about that statement? True or false?

With my first daughter I was 16 yearsold still living at home with my Parents My Step mom gave me three HPT all were Neg but I was throwing up and was really sick so she took me to the Hospital where they gave me fluids did all kinds of test and come to find out I was preggo. See with the negative test at home I kept telling her I had not done anything to get preggo but Ummmm Blood Work showed I had!!!!

agree with HopeN if you're confident you're 14dpo...but one must truly be confident about this, because if timing is off (14dpo), then this doesn't hold true...Accurate timing can only be done with an Ultrasound hCG trigger or the use of OPKs are also pretty reliable

I guess from my experience I would def want blood work or AF to show! I am not saying that what they are saying is not true but from my experience I guess anything can Happen.

Dr. Q. Would you give a blood test if a patient of yours came to you with this type of situation?

on the otherhand if it doesnt happen, ask ur Dr why she thinks u get some kind of breakthru bleeding the same time without ovulation? She owes u an answer and if she doesnt, u need to change the Dr just like Shae says.

When I was pregnant with my last I got a -hpt(First response) when I was 1 day late! I was pregnant,I have a beautiful 16 month old baby girl to prove it!

When did you get your positive?

I tested two days later (at 17dpo) and got a FAINT positive

Also, I wasn't off on my ovulation day either b/c it was confirmed with an u/s

The babies size matched my O date!

Well, I guess time will tell. I'm waiting for another week or two before I go pay out of pocket for a blood test.

Wannabe I am in the same boat as you... I am six days late and took a test just 10 mins ago. It was neg:( I do however have very irregular periods. So I'm guessing that my irregular periods are back again. I'm sooooo bummed.

Third time is a charm, I finally got the 3rd doctor I spoke with to order me a pregnancy blood test, although she did say that urine HPT's are very accurate. I'll probably wait until Wednesday or Thursday to have it done. I just want to make sure that AF is really staying away.

Wouldn't you just know it? I just used the restroom only to find light pink CM... AF is on her way, I'm sure. This is how she starts every month. Leave it to the witch to ruin everything all the time! Just when I get the blood test scheduled... I hate this.
