Sounds like you need to move on to more aggressive treatments that one an RE can provide..If you live in the USA, you can find an RE near you using this site

No i live in India. Wat do u think my problem is? Is my hubbys sperm count normal

August 06, 2008

Deepa, it could be many things, you may not be responding to clomid, ur lining could be thin because of clomid sometimes.

IF the total motile sperm is more than 10 M, I think its ok..Total motile sperm = Sperm count X motility X volume

Ask your Dr if she can put you on injectible gonadotropins or Letrozole and also consider IUI.

can u calculate my hubbys count in that way and let me know exactly how to calculate show me once

August 06, 2008

U need to tell me the volume. Just multiply the sperm count, motility and volume and it should be more than 10 M.

August 06, 2008

62 million/ml motility 25%

August 06, 2008

Just multiply those 3 values. It comes to 31 M

Hi Deepa just wanted to give you the following information....his motility is below normal...it might be best to look into IVF+ICIS for your situation esp with a motility of 25%....

this is what dr's look for in sperm results. ...

Volume: => 2 ml

Motility: => 50 %

Count / Concentration: => 20 million / ml

Morphology: => 14 % normal

Angelfish is right. Your husband's motility is less than half what it should be. So this means that your husband's sperm are not living long enough to achieve conception.

You should consider at least doing IUI, possibly IVF.

This thread has confused me! i was under the impression that anything above 20 million/ml is normal for sperm count.

His motility seems on the low side but his sperm count is 62 million/ml so this is definatley not low!

Hi Natasha that is correct but they have to move and if they don't or slow they will not make it thur the woman's cm and cervix and to the tubes to meet the egg....you can have 100 sperm count but if less than have don't move they dead off and don't make it to the egg!!!!
