Does your cervical position change when you first become pregnant?

I know I'm driving myself crazy about this. At 4 DPO my cervix feels low and a bit hard like it normally does when AF comes. I'm thinking I'm not pregnant because of this. It is so early though. Does the cervix still go lower after ovulation for pregnant women and then rise up. I heard the estrogen levals make the cervix softer. When do the estrogen levals increase during pregnancy? Is it not until after implantation? Do I have any hope of being pregnant with a low and hard cervix at 4DPO?

Most Drs. recommend not to follow your cervix to determine pregnancy as it can be very difficult to really determine it's true position, and in addition this doesn't really guarantee that you're pregnant, it's best to test 12dpo or 14dpo.

good luck!

Amanda, Keep in mind that implantation doesn't occur until 6-10 dpo, so give it some time to do its thing girl :) You can't be losing hope at 4 dpo--WAY to early! I don't think you'll notice changes until after implantation.

So does your cervix drop down after Ovulation even if your egg was fertilized and then rise up and get softer after implantation? I know implantation takes a week. I just want to know if the cervix will go down regardless and then change if implantation occurs? I know I can't determine preh by it. I just feel like I know my body. I will hold out some hope. I hate the 2ww.

According to my books, the cervix always drops after ovulation. And that after you become pregnant it starts to soften & turn blue-ish...like right around when AF is due or after. Are you 4dpo today? I really think you'll be pregnant very soon.

Thanks Kristi. That makes me feel better. Congrats again! I'm 4 DPO today. It always makes me feel better when someone says they think I'm going to be preg soon. I guess I'll see if the cp changes around AF time. I'll keep praying!

What symptoms did you have? And when did they start?

The only symptoms that I noticed were dull cramps and change in my boobs. They didn't hurt really just tingly--can't think of a better word. If I brushed my chest against something, it was super sensitive. After a got a + test though its been kind of on and off. Now they feel almost bruised. Also, I have to pee a lot in the last 2-3 days--I either wake up in the night and go, or it wakes me up at about 6:00am and feels like I drank 2 gallons of water.

You're young, healthy, and were able to get preg recently without a boat load of drugs. Almost every one of my friends have had at least 1 M/C at some point and have all gone on to have babies. You WILL have a baby soon.
