Does taking progesterone injections increase breast cancer chances?

I haven't either, but just read it in Family Circle magazine Oct. issue.

I don't think so Kelli. I think they r talking long term if anything. I hv a question to dr q in waiting as well about the effects of all the fertility treatments. I mean I reall can't fool myself into thinking tjat after manipulating my body with tons of xtra hormones month after month that nothing can happen. I wondereed if I am at a higher risk as well. U know I don't vaccinate and try to keep stuff as natural as possible around her, won't even take bcp's but I hv done tons of hormones even tho my body already ovulates spoooooo I wonder what the potential issues cd be as well.

Ok I'm gonna think outloud here. It rises to hold a pregancy but then drops when no pregnancy but when we take it to enduce a period it tricks our body into thinking it did so I can't imagine it wd hurt u for a few months. If u took it for years to hold off a period that wd prob be where the problems come in.

Maybe during menopause the hormones r so wacky that is the reason not to take it at that time, yanno?

Yeah, I guess at the time I wasn't worrying about any permanent side effects/risks!

Ok just reading on something like this and what this article says is that if u have breast cancer in the family then hormone replacement therapy is NOT for you. It goes on to say that estrogen can wake up cancer cells that may hv been dorment and that other hormones can do the same with ovaries (cancer). It does also say that taking the lowest dose possible to help is what the recommend and that hormone users saw their risks decrease to non hormone users risk level only two years after stopping treatments.

All good news since we r young - well, u more than me, lol!!
