I only ask because I'm not breastfeeding and my son is 3 weeks old tomorrow and my breasts have not become engorged or hurt or even grown at all..is that common? Are they still going to? Also when will his umbilical cord fall off? Are there any ways to make it fall off quicker?
Since you never breastfed you probably never really even produced milk because there was no stimulation to tell your body to make the milk. If it has not happened yet then it is not going to happen. As far as the baby's umbilical cord, it can take some time for it to fall off. If it is still attached at 3 wks of age, I would call your pediatrician & check with them. Do not try to remove it on your own though.
If you are not BF & you are not engorged & uncomfortable just consider yourself lucky because most women would be. The fact that you are leaking is normal. Just make sure you are not stimulating the breasts at all & the leaking should stop at some point.
