Did I O or not?

I had a progesterone and estradiol test last month, and the results came back normal.

its hard to say you should use OPKs everyday from cd10 until AF comes because you can ovulate any cd it doesnt really matter. clomid makes you ovulate later than normal. Best to ask a Dr this question though. I would say thers always a chance that you Oed. Idk about the temp things, I use OPKs they are easier to read and less stress to deal with =) GOod luck I hope you Oed. Did you BD at all? DO it every other day incase you havent Oed yet!

I usually use OPK's but haven't the past 2 cycles since I started charting. I have been under a LOT of stress these past couple of weeks, we were projected to have been hit by Hurrican Ike, so I was trying to prepare my family and supplies. We have been BDing still, since I'm not sure if I O'ed yet.

well hopefully you hit the egg! I would assume you Oed if you normally O =) but stress can cause you no to ovulate. Id say its best to use OPKs even if you are charting because charting only shows you that you've ovulated once your temperature shifts, so you find out after the Oing is already over. OPKs tell you the day before you O. I like the head start approach but everyone is different. Good luck =)

Basal body temperature charts are very nonspecific. I really wish people would just stop using them. What they tests are the fact that progesterone increases your BBT. After ovulation, the corpus luteum secretes progesterone and it is this progesterone that raises the BBT. However, there is not a constant secretion of progesterone, it fluctuates and therefore the BBT fluctuates so it is not an accurate test for deciding what is going on. Unfortunately, that is what doctors are for. We can look at your progesterone level, taken 7dpo and determine whether or not ovulation occurred. When in doubt, please see a physician... I know sometimes, the cost can be a deterrent, but we are there to help you...

Hey Dr. Eva can you answer a question for me, to the best of your ability. If you have to settle for your personal opinion based on experience then I'll take that even. I haven't had this question answered yet and I'm very curious.

I was put on clomid for the first time this month. CD3-7 @ 50 mg by my OBGYN in order to make me ovulate since I've been ttc for 3 years.

I've had BW u/s and other tests done, everything come back OK the reason I can't conceive is thought to be non ovulation due to my irregular cycles (mostly long, around 30-34 days sometimes short though around 16 days, overall very irregular)

I went in for my CD12 u/s and I had follicles in each ovary however my Dr said they were small for CD12 (all ranging under 1 cm) He said given the sizes of my follicles I most likely will not ovulate this cycle.

My question is: Is it possible that I will still Ovulate this cycle given the fact that clomid makes some womenes cycles longer and makes them ovulate later than ususal? Normally my cycles average at 31 days without clomid. Is it possible that I am just a late ovulater and my follicles were so small on cd 12 b/c I may not ovulate until around cd 20? I guess what Im asking is, even though my follicles were less than 1 cm on cd 12 is it possible they could still keep maturing and I could just ovulate later due to that?

Im sure my Dr expected me to ovulate around cd 14 or 15, and if thats the case then of course my follicles werent big enough yet.

I need to know if you know any information on how fast follicles can grow or mature and if you think in 7-9 days then can grow another cm to reach 2 cm and allow me ovulate?

I appreciate ANY comment or information reguarding this, its a big concern of mine as I really hope this month on clomid was not a waste.

later than what, I don't see any O...my LP last month was 11 days.

What test is done when there is no ovulation? How do I start a new cycle?
