Amanda, I had a check today and I know that my OB did more manipulation than ever before. I had bright red blood while still sitting on the table, plus maybe the plug or part of it. She did not strip my membranes. We plan on doing that next week but it was pretty uncomfortable. My OB just tried to advance her finger into my cervix, this time. It did hurt. Hopefully, your OB would not strip your membranes without discussing it with you but he/she is well aware that you are hoping to go soon. They might have. Just ask.
Okay so I am super mad!! My mom found me a brand new carseat with tags at a garage sale by chance when I was around 13 weeks along. It is a brand new graco snugride and the woman had bought it for her grandbaby to use if the baby ever stayed with her and turned out she never ever used it. So we bought it for 20 bucks from her which is a great deal or so we thought. So tonight we took it up to the firestation to be installed properly and found out that the stupid carseat has been recalled and they would not install it. So tonight I went out frantically trying to find a carseat and had no luck at all. I already have a really great stroller that was bought for me at my first baby shower and had I known this about the carseat I would have asked for a combo stroller and carseat together so they matched. We went to 2 different targets, babies r us, sears, kmart, walmart, toys r us, burlington, jcpenney and found nothing. All of the carseats looked cheap or seemed to be uncomfortable. I am so mad right now!!
If I had the box still for my stroller I would take it back and get the stroller/carseat combo. The stroller that I got was purchased at babies r us and it was 89.00 I believe and the carseat that goes with it is sold seperately at 139.00. The stroller is super cute but I don't like the carseat because it is really heavy and bulky. Had I known before my baby shower I would have just asked for the combo and it would have come out cheaper in the end. I finally found a carseat online at sears that would match the stroller and should be compatible (fingers crossed). It should be here by the 23rd so hopefully Kayleigh will hold out a bit so we will have a safe carseat for her to come home in.
It is 9:44am and I have yet to make it to bed. This pregnancy insomnia, acid reflux and morning sickness has me drawing my last straw grrrrr!! I don't think the whole carseat deal made things better either.
