Day-3 vs. Day-5 embryo transfer?

Usually the embryologist/doc recommends what is best based on what they see. Often if you only have a few embies (less than 10) the doc will go ahead and transfer the best on day 3 because the embies will probably do better in the womb than in the lab. If you have a whole bunch sometimes they will wait til day 5 so they can see which ones are really doing the best and decide which to transfer from there. With both my fresh cycle we had around 10 or less embies so my doc wanted to do day 3. You can discuss your feelings with your doc but they are the professionals and probably know the best way to go for your specific case.

Good luck Journey! I hope things work out for you. Also, if they do a 3-day transfer vs. 5 with you don't stress that the odds are better or worse. With both my fresh cycles they were 3 days- and both resulted in BFPs.
