cramping after IVF transfer

September 26, 2008

I am 42 and this is my first IVF..and I hope my last! My issues have been discribed as 'unexplained/age'. I am in good health, clear tubes, all blood tests -normal, husband- good, FSH down to 7.2. I had 3 unsuccessful IUI, 1- natural, 1- clomid and 1-Puregon with 9 eggs. My IVF I had 13 eggs taken with only 6 mature! only 3 fert. and 2-8 cells embries were transf. one week ago. I am on Estrce and Progest. supp.100mg 4x day and baby aspirin. During a normal period I get a few cramps about a week before..so now that I feel these a week b 4 my blood test worries me and I would have expected to have some implant bleeding esp seeing as I am on the aspirin. Any advice.

Thank you,

Sandra.

Hi Sandra,

Not necessarily a sign of anything as many pregnancies from IVF do also have some cramping..hang in there, and we hope you'll find success

Thank you...I also wanted to ask about the fact that I developed a cold the day after I had my transfer...I was so nervous to cough that may distrupt things but more importantly nervous about a fever. I did develop one on the Tuesday...transfer had been the Friday b 4...didn't have a therm. at the time and took a tylenol that evening. I had also had my acupuncture that afternoon and she said a had a bit of a fever...no chills or sweats...just a warm forehead and ears....how much of a worry could that be..?
