clomid side effects

I started my first round of clomid on day three of my cycle for 5 days. I ovulated on day 16, it is now day 22 and I have very tender breasts, mood swings, and have been feeling sick to my stomach. Are side effects common to last through out the cycle or could these be pregancy symptoms?

I took 2 rounds of clomid and i have mood swings. I think what you are having is very normal and should last most of your cycle.

Hi Leah,

Welcome to FertilityTies! These are Progesterone side effects that are common after ovulation and continue through pregnancy, which we're hoping occurs...You can learn more about this by searching through this site, and FertilityTies is here to support you through your journey, and for you to interact with others who are going through the same thing...Good luck, and keep us posted...

Hi Kyah,

Welcome to FertilityTies! :)

Clomid is a pill taken for 5 days usually after a period is started to help them ovulate, and medically speaking, there truly is no "best position" to conceive...We hope you learn more by talking to others and searching through this site for reliable information and like leah said, this is a place where you can find support and help others who are going through the same journey... Good luck, and keep us posted..

I had my Progesterone levels taken yesterday and I am still waiting for the Dr. to call me back. My husband also had a semen analysis done and we are waiting for those too. Is it normal for a Dr. to prescibe clomid before a semen analysis is done? my OBGYN said I had LPD but not sure if I really do... typically my leutal phase is between 11-12 days.. is that long enough?

12 days for luteal phase is barely ok, and if any questions ask your doctor for Progesterone support, and some docs do Rx Clomid prior to Semen analysis and is ok...

Mine did sweetie, and if we dont get PG on this round of Clomid (round 2), then we are getting a semen analysis done. I have PCOS and wasnt ovulating, so they wanted to see if its all me, and since I ovulated on Round 1, they are giving me another chance, and if we dont get PG then we are going in November for a semen analysis, and then start Round 3 of Clomid.

Best wishes sweetie and im sure its just fine!!

Lots of love!!
