Clomid and Cervical Mucus
May 03, 2008
Hello i just finished my first round of clomid 50mg. I dont have problems ovulating its just that I only have my left tube due to ectopic June 2007. Im 27 so only doing 3 months of 50mg. Had an ultrasound and was told I have small cysts on my ovaries. First time i felt pain during ovulation. The good news is looks like I ovulated on the left. Just wanted to give you a little background but my question is what can I do for cervical mucus while on clomid? This cycle it was very slim to none. Thank you.
Yes, I agree with jenstar. I used PreSeed and on that same cycle, I got prego. You can just visit their website (preseed.com) and locate the nearest store where you can get it, or you can simply search through online fertility stores where you can buy them and be delivered to you. If your ultrasound showed that you already ovulated, it might be too late to order PreSeed this month. But just in case you haven't gotten your BFP this month yet, at least you know when and where to order it before you ovulate next month. Are you also using OPK? If not, I'd suggest you do that too so you'll have an idea when to time your baby dancing. :-) Good luck and BABY DUST!!!
Yes, I was on my third round of Clomid 50 mg and that was also the cycle when I wanted to try something different...that's when I tried PreSeed...and YES!! BFP!! Mucinex works like Robitussin. They're cough-related medicines, but they help in producing cervical mucus. Another natural way of producing cervical mucus is just by drinking a lot of water...lots and lots of it. If you're dehydrated, your vaginal area tends to be dry to, making BD uncomfortable. PreSeed is the only lubricant that doesn't harm the sperm and even helps transport the sperm by creating smooth channels for the sperm to pass through the cervix and eventually meet the waiting egg. :-)
Unfortunately, I was not monitored when I was on Clomid as I wasn't seeing an RE. My OB/GYN was the only one who prescribed those to me. I was told that if I don't get pregnant within 6 months with it, that I'll be referred to an RE for closer monitoring. However, I still was able to get an ultrasound after I ovulated and only found 1 bursted follicle (corpus luteum) on my right ovary. If you see more follicles, the better! :-) The technician would usually tell you if it's a corpus luteum (the egg was already released) or just a follicle (the egg will be released soon).
You're very welcome, Erica! :-) I was obssessed about TTC for a long time myself. During the cycle that I got my BFP, that was the month that I actually was kinda laid back with the BD and all. We didn't do a whole lot of BD during my fertile days and I thought that was another month wasted. It does happen when you least expect it. All of us here really understand what you're feeling right now. Good luck and lots of *-*-*-BABY DUST*-*-*-*
Exactly what Lexie said. Most of us on these boards came here because we were having trouble getting pregnant, and we all felt like it was never going to happen. While i only had one emotional breakdown, my spirit just felt beaten. I wasn't even sad...just tired, a bit mad, and even convinced myself I was indifferent to it. It wasn't until I went to an accupuncturist who reminded me my spirit had to be into this when I felt like I could do it for real. And...I did.
Like Lexie, the month I finally got pregnant was one of the most relaxing months I've had. I was on Clomid for the first time, and my husband and I remembered to have fun. We ate really well, got massages, let nature (and Clomid) take its course, and just loved each other.
Fertility has to do with so many things...which is why, I think, both Western and Eastern medicine was the perfect combination for me. It took care of both my body and soul, and that's what I needed.

you ladies are great reading all ur comments does help. Its true we all know what its like to b fustrated with ttc first hand. I do realize that being mentally prepared is just as important we must get chemistry in our bodies right to conceive. My husband is always telling me this its just so hard! Ok so what worries me now is that sine ovulation im so achy and crampy in my lower ab area. did this happen to any of u? maybe its my cyst? ;(. I think clomid caused this cyst and I wonder if maybe clomid isn't for me. Also as far as u/s they only did one prior to O nothing after and I don't know how many follicles I have they just said the left one was 5cm. I don't understand much of this. well I wish u ladies the best of luck and congrats to those of u that are expecting. sorry for making this so long any insight u can give me is appreciated. Oh one more thing im thinking of doing preseed next cycle without hubby knowing bc. he says im always trying something new. u think I can do that? also im not dry just didn't see ewcm so do u think I need it? thank u!
