My fertility specialist has given me six months supply of Clomid without any follow up appointments. Should there be a minimum level of monitoring to determine if ovulation is actually occuring and if so when?
All you will need to do in this case would be to use OPKs and should be enough. Most people on Clomid will get pregnant their first three tries. If you want more aggressive treatments, let your specialist know, but remember, fertility specialists aren't necessarily REs (lots of Ob/Gyn say the do infertility, yet what you're seeing is about as much as they'll do). If you're unhappy with this and want to be more aggressive, find out if your doc is truly an RE...if so, ask for more aggressive treatments and if not, seek one out and can find one near you through this site
Is an OPK an ovulation predictor test kit using urine? The tests I have place limitations when taking Clomid and suggest to consult with my physician. It states that medications containing hCG or LH may affect the test - does Clomid contain these? Also what is a "RE"?
