Hi Doc:

I just finished my first round of Clomid last week and I 've also used Clear Blue fertility monitor to detect the Ovulation.The Moitor showed that I was high on Sunday,O'ed on Monday,high in Tuesday again.But I never had any CM all these times though did have some light cramping....

I'm not being monitered by my OB..so I can't confirm if the monitor was right or not for the results.

How many of you can tell that Clear blue O monitor works well with Clomid and was able to confirm its results with other tests in the past..

I'm just skeptical about the monitor while on Clomid and not sure if I should trust it in future while on Clomid...

Hey...I started Clomid this month too! I am also using the ClearBlue Easy Fertility Monitor...I finished taking my pills last week also. Today the monitor showed a peak for the first time..it has been high for the past 5 days..I am day 13 today. I have heard that the clomid can interfere with the monitor and show you have high levels for a longer time period...but since this is my first month I don't have results yet:) Also clomid can cause your cervical mucus to dry up..so you may try Robutussin from day 10 during your cycle till you ovulate. This helps thin the CM. I had a follicle study today...and everything looks good. Dr prescribed me Ovidrel to take tomorrow evening to trigger release if it hasn't happened yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. Baby Dust to you!

Clomid can cause your monitor to read more high fertility days but should still accurately catch your LH surge and peak fertility. As Renee said clomid can definitely affect your CM. Another option for helping with this is buying some preseed which is a sperm friendly lubricant. You can buy it online or at a few pharmacies which are listed on their website. Babydust.
