Hello Dr. Q,
I am 39 weeks pregnant now and on physical examination by the Dr. i was told that by cervix has dilated 3 to 4 cms with good effacement. I have been down with 75 ml of castor oil in 5 days which did help me pass motions but i havent gone into labour yet.
Tommorow instead of the 25 ml dose of castor oil i am going to be taking 40 ml.
I do not wish to apply gel, hence trying the natural ways of induction and also doing yoga.
Kindly guide me what should be done as the doctor says baby would decide its own time to come if we go the natural way.
Please please guide me as i am feeling lost in this whole process.

The body will go into labor when it's ready, going/starting later is still very much a medical mistery that we don't understand. Taking Castor Oil won't help this process. Hang in there, and within a few weeks given your cervical dilation and effacement, you should be going into labor
