cervical mucus

How do you check your cervical mucus? What I mean by this is, how can you tell the difference between cervical mucus & vaginal lubrication for when your aroused? I've also heard people takling about reaching & feeling thier cervix...how do you do this & what does it tell you about your ovulation?

Some people can actually feel it "drip" down, whereas others can't feel it at all. Cervical mucus doesn't necessarily occur when aroused, and should be checked when not aroused.
Cervical position and "softness" if a person is good at this (and this can take lots of practice), can help in determining upcoming ovulation, but is not as good as ewcm. One can feel their cervix through a simple digital exam, and it'll feel like a "large button". I'll even tell ya though, half of all Ob/Gyns may not even be able to tell you about cervical consistency or positioning. If you can tell, great, otherwise, wouldn't worry about this too much.
