cervical cerlage

Hey Dr. Q, I had a cerlage on Friday and and scared to death of something going wrong. I am constantly nauseus and when I gag I put alot of pressure on my lower abdomen. Is it possible that I could rupture and/or break my water bag? How can I stop this from happening? (As this is what happened last pregnancy at 19 weeks?) Any comfort/information you can give me will be great. Thanks

Don't worry too much about gagging, not necessarily a primary cause of rupture, as we don't know what truly causes the bag to rupture (bag infection? for example)...Outside of the cerclage, little can be done, if there was Preterm Labor involved, talk to your doc about Progesterone Injections..
