CD5 Anybody?

Just wondering if anybody else is on or around CD5. Gearing up for another month with hopefully a positive result this go round.

Hi Caryn, no meds yet. OB/GYN appt in a couple of weeks to see where we need to go from here. The only thing that I have been doing up to this point is OPK's. I hope the Clomid works this round for you.

Hi caren- I am taking 50 mg.. I ovulate on my own and last month had 5 follicles! I usually Ovulate on CD 12 so that would be Fathers Day! How appropriate to conceive on Fathers Day! :)

am taking 50mg too,well I dont know when i ovulate, i normally guess by how i feel but i bd a lot :)), so am doing opk and clomid this month all new for me, well fathers day would be the most suitable day (perfect day!, it doest get any perfect than that! Is it your first time taking clomid?

Hey Rae, I am CD5 today too! Guess we are cycle buddies again, lol! No meds for me this month & last cycle I O'd WAY late (CD36 or 37) & was sick so there was no BD'ing near the day :( Wasn't even checking for O at that point-figured I wouldn't since not taking clomid that month. Will be using OPK's this cycle...

Hey ya'll I am on CD5 with no meds. But I am going to try acupuncture for a few months. I have heard good things about it.

Carrie-Have you done the accupuncture yet? I was thinking about that myself.

Wendy-I'm sorry to hear you weren't feeling good. I was wondering where you were!!! Poor thing. Are your cycles getting easier to keep track of? I had a 31 day cycle last and the previous 2 months were 28 days. Not sure that I should worry about that or if it's normal within a few days.

I tried accupuncture for about 12 sessions, I did not notice anything different except my periods got heavier :( I did not continue with it . sionce stopping my perids have resumed to what is "normal" for me....

Thanks Rae! No my cycles are no easier to predict. The RE has me off the clomid for a few months-waiting on a cyst to go away & loose a few pounds-UGGGHHHHH! Fun fun!! I am still O'ing on my own though & Dr Q has advised that no reason to not TTC while off the clomid. I do need to call my RE & go in to check on the cycst, but I have decided to wait on the HSG 'till I can either go back on the clomid & (better yet) my cycles regulate again. I became PG on my own without meds last year during a late ovulation so I know 1st hand that it is possible :)) Here's hoping:)))))

How are you doing? Don't thing I could do the accupuncture-but then again who knows what might be down the road-never count anything out right, lol?!?!?!

Wendy-I'm fine thanks for asking. Finding myself seriously considering how far I will go to get pregnant. Not that I don't want to give it my best shot, just soooooo worried about all the meds and injections, etc. I'm really having a hard time accepting that it hasn't just happened naturally for me yet. It was so easy for me 20 years ago!!! I am really trying to keep positive and am trying not to allow these fertility "issues" to control my life but it's always there. I keep asking myself, is it me? is it the DH? Are we too old? How long do we try? What are we going to have to go through? and ultimately will we ever get PG? I know there are so many ladies with the same feelings. That's nice to know. It would be so much nicer if we could all just get pregnant already!!! I do think I will get some answers when I see OB GYN, hopefully.

CD5 here! I hate the start of a new cycle, it goes by so slow.....ugghhh

CD 8 today, took my last clomid pill!!! Yeah!!!!

Yeah...you can start opking in a day or two!!!

cd7 today,, finally quit bleeding! I am not using opk's this month,, I didnt like them! I should O on the 19th! DH wil start saving in a couple days so he will have a monster load! LOL

I hope we all get bfp's this month! xxx FINGERS CROSSED xxx

This will be my first time trying acupuncture so we will see. I am trying different thing b/c clomid gave my cysts so I am looking into other avenues.

Carrie-I haven't started any meds at this point. I didn't know about a Clomid/Cyst connection. Good info.

Wendy-Are your cysts related to Clomid?

BFPS for us, I agree with Rachel we had too many BFNs last cycle. It's definitely time....

Carrie-I would love to hear that the accupuncture works for you. You'll have to keep us posted on that.

Today is June 11th and it is cd 10 for me. Going in for u/s and b/w tomorrow, and probably iui on Monday and Tuesday, which is cd 15 and 16. Did this cycle with injectables. We will see!!!

Rae, I went to my OB in Feb of this year because I did not have a cycle & got a BFN. My cycles had been regular since the D&C last May & I was having pains in my left ovary. I never considered the possibility of a cycst & they did not check for one. Doc just said since I missed a cycle & was TTC that he would place me on the Clomid for 2 months before trans me to the RE. I had no monitoring during the 2 months & continued to have the pains in my ovary. The RE discovered the cyst last month during an US, so we have no real way of knowing if it was there before the Clomid or not. They sugg waiting a few weeks to see if it goes away on its own before giving me BC to shrink it.

I have been reading on the site & saw where Dr Q or someone sd that a cyst can delay ovulation-anyone know anything about this? I feel strongly that the cyst was already there before I began the clomid...
