CD 13. hCG shot this weekend

Hello all. My first post. We're TTC #2... didn't use fertility for #1 (now 2 yrs old). I'm 35, he's 46... he has ED, low motility and some white blood cells (his doc put him on an antibiotic for it). I don't appear to have any issues.

Despite O'ing on my own, doc put me on Clomid this month to prepare for an IUI. Did Clomid 5-9, no big side effects. I normall O on day 17-19, so I didn't expect much at the follicle study on day 10 (Monday). 11mm was my best follicle but doc referred to my ovaries as "quiet".

Yesterday (day 12) was better. 11mm one turned into 14mm. Doc said it's growing at just the expected rate (1-2mm a day).

Friday (day 14) will be another follicle study and will determine my IUI date (likely to be Monday, but could be Sunday if that little follicle grows fast!).

I'm SERIOUSLY nervous about the Ovidrel (hCG) shot though. I shouldn't be since I had gestational diabetes with #1 and did insulin twice a day. Does it hurt too much? Did you do it or your DH?
