Really I'm so glad that we have decided not to go that avenue and plus our % is only 8% for successful IVF....what is yours it has to be higher with your age and having a child!!!

Yes.. Angel I am given a 66%-70% chance.. Since I am only 31 and we have a child, and we are foing ICSI.. that will increase our chances too :)

I thought so very good % well have fun with your Rx shop you have there and all I can say is ouch I hate needles....we are willing to go as far as inject gond and IUI and that is it....lol....then I'm going to adopt my babyseal or something:))))...anyway ####ivf dust#### for you and I hope the dh is getting better poor dear!!!!

Lol...congrats on all your meds. I think it's great that you do not have to take the progesterone injections or the estrogen pills and patches like I did!!

LOL! I thought about doing that too when i got it all but was so overwhemed that i 4got! LOL!

Its so much but you will be a pro in no time!!!

I think it will be cool to journal all of this.. and if FT is around for the duration(and I hope it is!) It will be neat to show baby all about the journey Mommy and Daddy took to get him/her here!

Oh Jolene, I totally intend to photograph everything.. I am even going to ask the nurse for copies of my ultrasounds of my follicles too! I will post my first pictures tomorrow morning :)

Well today is officially DAY 1 of my IVF JOURNEY

The first phase for me is SUPRESSION ( I did not have to use BC pills first..)

Lupron Protocol



What is the Suppression Phase?

What happens in the first part of the IVF cycle?

Your ovaries and the hormones they make are suppressed so that we may control your cycle and increase egg production.

What is Lupron and why do I need to take it?

It is used to decrease the amount of hormone you make for a short time and to prevent an “early LH surge” or ovulation.

This LH surge happens when the ovaries release the eggs (i.e. ovulate) before the desired time or before the time of the egg retrieval.

How long do I need to take Lupron?

You will use Lupron for at least two weeks before you are scheduled to come in for a baseline appointment. My baseline is 8/28 !!!! Hopefully I will start my stimulating medications Follistim soon after!
