Dr. Q, are there any ways or tests to know that the embryos will gain cardiac activity or we just have to wait and watch?
cardiac activity

Sir, I have CBAVD and after 2nd cycle of IVF_ICSI, my wife is pregnant with twin gestational sacs. Last time also she had conceived but no cardiac activity later on. Last time her 15th day bHCG was just 19 and this time it was 713. Also size of gestational sacs is bigger by 2-3 mms. Does it mean that this time her sacs will surely gain cardiac activity and these are signs of a viable pregnancy?
I dont want to doubt the goodness of everything but may I humbly express just one lingering thought which is disturbing us. My wife had lots of acne and pimples on face which seem diminished in the morning. Last time they altogether dissappeared at the time of cardiac activity which did not appear. Should these skin changes be given any importance in judging the cardiac viability of embryos?
Hi Punit, the acne could be because of harmonal changes going on in the body but, I wouldnt attach too much importance to it. DId you do a repeate Beta and did it double? THats more credible than skin changes appearing and disappearing during pregnancy. Good luck and I really pray that this one sticks for you and the wife.
