Can you start Met in the middle of a cycle?

Hey everyone. Well I'm in the middle of a cycle but found out that the Met is really cheap at Walmart so since we are going out tonight we are going to get it filled.
I was wondering if its ok to start taking today or if i need to wait until the beginning of my next cycle? I'm not really worried about it on the TTC aspect but the fact that it will help me loose weight which is what i need.
I should be ovulating soon or I might have already, not really sure because my OPK's are not really matching up with temps. We haven't really been TTC much this cycle anyway so I don't know if that matters or not.
