can you get pregnant after you stop taking clomid

i've heard that clomid is a problem for healthy cm and since u stopped taking it, that may be why your cm looks good. but that's not to say you can't be ovulating on your own. i had a friend who conceived on clomid...assumed that she couldn't get preggo on her own and then got preggo again w/ no help only 4 months after she gave birth to the 1st one.

when i was on clomid the only real side effect i got was the fact that it dried me up completely.. i have always noticed a little bit of ewcm ( when not on clomid) but never this much.. it was so watery and stretchy. i thought to myself could this be it? im trying to to obsess with every symptom but the somehow i just feel diffrent this time..

Hi Tiff, I was wondering the same thing, I have heard of alot of women getting preg shortly after they stopped clomid...I took 100-mg for 3 months and this month I did not, I did ovulate 2 out of the 3 months, and it feels like I am ovulating now, I don't have much CM tho, I never really did, I ordered pre-seed and plan on baby-dancing tonite:) I wish u all the luck, and keep me posted

shawnee = how long have you been ttc? I've been having unprotected sex with my bf for 11 yrs and never been pregnant. i was just recently diagnosed with pcos and tried clomid only one round last month.( which dried me up completely) im on cd 23 now and only thing im noticing is i've had a stuffy nose since 1dpo and some slight cramping like af is going to start. the funny thing is that i always get sore boobs about 1 1/2 weeks before af comes and so far they are not bothering me at all. Maybe im just clinging into every thing i feel but its hard not to.

i herd preseed works well but i have never tried it myself. I wish you the best.. keep me posted as well..

Girl me too...we have been together for 12 and not once conceived!!!! I was diagnosed w/ pcos and told I wasn't ovulating, I was devastated! In November I started Clomid, I have been ovulating off it but no BFP yet. I never had a lot of CM even before the clomid and now it's even less, I tried the Robitussin thing, and it didn't work. I used pre-seed over the week and I liked it, fingers crossed it worked!!!

Did u ovulate from the clomid?(im guessing u get blood work done on cycle day 21 to find out?) As far as ur symptoms, clomid made my boobs sore right b4 AF came and there has been more cramping especially after ovulation the cramps are pretty bad! I know what u mean clinging on to everything, I get myself completely obsessed w/ ttc, how can we not???

I would def suggest trying pre-seed, I bought mine from amazon.

wow someone who is actually in the same situation as me.. Its nice to know there is someone i can relate to. I did ovulate last month but did not conceve probably from the lack of cm. This month i did not take it because my period started early and i was away from home so i got the perscription too late this month.. I did however notice a huge aboundance of wattery cm which has never happened before . We bd 2 days before day of ( twice) and day after. I am hopeing i ovulated on my own and it is promising..

What has really made me think we might have conceved is that i ALWAYS get sore boobs about 2 weeks before my period and i am now 8 days away and no pain what so ever. and i keep feeling like im gonna start my period but nothing.. LOL there i go obsessing... I think i may go crazy..LOL j/k

Hi Tiff, we really are in the same boat, I wasn't able to take my clomid either this month b/c I was out of state, I'm pretty sure I ovulated tho:) That's great u had CM on ur own!!! Maybe u DID CONCEIVE:) when is AF due? and it's okay to obsess to me, makes me feel less crazy about obsessing lol:)

LOL.. I hear ya actually im supposed to start on monday of next week.. what cd are you on? Geez wouldnt it be great if we both succeded without drugs..!

im on cd 24 here.. and 7dpo ( atleast i think i ovulated) LOL never know with us PCOS girls..

i still have absolutly no sign of af except the fact that i've been feeling like its here but its not..LOL

( no sore boobs whatsoever which is strange at this point in my cycle..)

my cycles are normally 31- 42 days but over the past 3 months it has been pretty regular at 29-31 days. So im gonna break down and test this weekend on cd 28. 11dpo which will be sat. If it comes out negitive i will retest on 15dpo asuming af dosent show her ugly face..

ok an update.. for the past hour ive had a pinching cramp on my mid right side.I also checked my cervical position and it is much softer then yesterday.. OMG im freaking.. i wonder if im experiencing implantation cramps..LOL i hope!

There is a possibility you havent ovulated with it getting soft.

But im not sure. Do your nipples usually hurt after ovulation and stuff?? Mine kill me and feel like they are on fire. So thats how I know.

I have PCOS as well, and im on Round 5 of clomid @ 100mgs, and currently CD20 and waiting on my Positive OPK.

hello jolene actually my cervix is very low. I o'ed 7 days ago ( pretty sure) after o'ed my cervix dropped and started to harden.. now for the past two days i've noticed that it is slowly getting much softer.( very noticeable to me)

I know that checking the cervix is not a good way to tell but it can be a sign.. Right now im experiencing a pinching type cramp on my right side.

i admit i am dwelling on every little sign but i've wanted this for soo long..

my boobs usually hurt really bad starting around cd 18 or so.. I did not experience that this month. my boobs

dont hurt at all.. its quite funny cause they always do..!

Im wishing you the best and hope its a good sign. I used to watch my cervix a lot before ovulation and stopped and would do it every once and a while, and have been this time since ovulation seems to be coming late, and its getting softer and softer, and just almost got a positive OPK, if not positive.

Im soo happy, hopefully this turns into me ovulating and entering the 2ww with you.

It sounds good sweetie and def. could be implantation and praying it is.

We have been TTC #1 for 1 year now. With the m/c last cycle, so we are praying that my ovulation is taking a little longer this cycle, because of all that.

have u ovulated on the clomid all 5 months? Do u get prog levels tested on day 21?

I ovulated rounds 1,2,4, and waiting on Round 5 but looks like its late or not coming (CD20 tonight and thought I got a very close positive earlier then took another one 2 hours later and def. negative...grrr).

I got progesterone checked on CD23 on Rounds 2,3,4. Im not going in this round since my progesterone levels were always super high and good.

I have been on clomid sense Nov, and I ovulated but this month I was not able to take it, I was out of the state when AF came, but I think I ovulated(fingers crossed)..I'm worried about my prog levels tho, the highest they have been is 10.96, Dr says thats good, but Im starting to think she doesn't know what she's talking about..grrr!! u said ur levels are super high, what were they of u don't mind me asking???

im not temping this month because i am done with that.. having pcos makes your temps go all over the place and it was too hard to notice any significant changes..

the pinching pain went away .. only lasted about 2 hours on and off.. i've got my fingers crossed!
