Can you detect your LH surge with the ovulation kits and get a positive reading and end up still not ovulating?

My question is...Can you detect your LH surge with the ovulation kits and get a positive reading and end up still not ovulating? I detected my LH surge,and didnt notice any other signs of ovulation.We tried and still no pregnancy.

This is a possibility as there's about a 7% false positive rate...

One would know if this was a false positive if no period arrives 16days later and not pregnant
