When you were at the hospital did they do an u/s?

yes and they saw a small something, but at where my levels were at it was hard for the ER Dr to say it was indeed a sac. I am too low for 5 weeks.

Chas are you positive of your dates and how far along you are?

I had sex on the 16,17,18 and thats it, b/c of work, then re, then finding out we were pg. I wanted to play it safe. so if I o on the 18 or a day or two later then....

Chas I'm so sorry with what is going on. Do you feel like doing another beta just to check on it? I can take a while on a miscarriage to really start. I'm a bad example on this issue because mine always start right away and I move fast on mine.

I am waiting to hear about my beta from yesterday.

yep, checking another beta is the only way..too early to tell anything on ultrasound

Beta went up again and now they are going to do an u/s on Friday. Dr. says it might help to see a prenotologyst.. What is that?

Well that's great the numbers went up!!!!! I have no clue what a prenotologist is....sorry!

Hi Chas, I am so sorry that you are going thru sucha tough time. Life isn't fair. I just wanted to share with you that one of my good friends has bleeding early in her pregnancy..im not talking spotting, she was bleeding red blood. She went in for 2 betas and her numbers went up but did not double. SHe went back for another and her numbers again went up, but not as high as the doc would have liked...anyway, fianlly the beta jumped and her doc was satisfied...and now she has a gorgeous baby girl. Your scenario isnt all that uncommon...hoping that you get the happy ending you deserve. (((Hugs)))

If my body does not produce pegestrone even when not pg can this effect why my hcg are low, and if so could taking pegestrone help me?

Its actually the otherway round. Its the HCG that sends a feedback signal to the ovaries to produce progesterone during pregnancy. If the HCG levels are great and still the progesterone is low, that is when they give you supplements.

They mentioned some kind of pill that helps hold the pregnancy if there are problems I thought it was prgestrone that they were talking about, but maybe it is something else?

Progesterone is given to support a pregnancy if that level is low. So, instead of the HCG maintaining the progesterone level, the supplements do. But there is nothing to maintain the HCG level by itself.

Why would I get a - bw on Fri the 27 and a + bw on Mon the 30th. Would the egg have just implanted on that Friday?

depends on wat blood test u had on 27th. If its a qualitative, then u cud have had some HCG but that was not enough by that lab to be classified as pregnancy. Or as u say implantation happened afterward.
