September 13, 2007
Hi I have been trying to get pregnant for 2-3 years. I have pcos and have regular periods but have not found out if I am ovulating each month.Right now the 13th of sept. I have been having cramps in my ovaries but my period is not due till the 25 or 26 so Im alittle confused. I have not got pregnant even though i have been trying could it possibly be my testostorone is to high. I now its been high in the past but can high testosterone cause you not to get pregnant. Here is some extra info about me:im on 2000 mg of metformine, 100 mg of aldactone, and vitamins for my body. Also I work out 5 days a week for about 2 hours in the gym, im on the heavy side but i exercise alot because I was a college Thrower on the track team. Thanks and hope you can help. Also im open to anybodys suggestions or support not just the docs. Thanks again.

You're on the right track, and your testosterone should be controlled with the aldactone combined with the metformin and shouldn't be much of a factor anymore. I'm assuming you've had other tests performed, such as an HSG and your partner has had a semen analysis.
If all is normal, then you may also have "unexplained infertility" and I've written about success rates using different types of treatments on this site. Choose then the best treatment that you desire out of these and regardless, you should be able to get pregnant with any of these treatments, especially if an RE is looking after you.
