I have to say I was very displeased with my doctor visit and am looking for a second opinion. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and my cycles have always been irregular, but after taking birth control pills for a year have been much worse and I do not know if there is a connection. I havent had a period in 2 1/2 months and am not pregnant. My blood work showed my testosterone level to be very high. I am not trying to conceive at the moment and do not want to take metformin because of the upset stomach side effects. I am considering just going back on birth control pills so I can have a regular monthly flow and not have a backup of lining that might cause more problems, also to regulate the testosterone hormone. Is this a good idea, or because my cycles were worse off after getting off birth control pills do I just need to stick with metformin and possibly try lower doses?
