Can progesterone gel cause a yeast infection?

I have been taking these gel things for 5 days now and I think, pretty sure that I have a yeast infection.
Now, these are in pre packaged things that you squeeze into you so I know that no dirt has gotten in there.
Also, I had yeast infections while preggo so wondering if high prog levels or prog and HCG levels can cause a yeast infection or is it just bad luck.
I am only 5 days past the IUI and still have the trigger in my body so thats where the HCG would come from.
Also, can I use a vaginal insert for the injection in the 2WW?
Hey Chels, those progesterone gels gave me the same YI-type reaction/irritation. The doctors say that it's not a ful blown YI, but rather itching & irritation mimmicing YI. I was very sensitive to the inserts & after telling my RE, he said that some women have this. I think I have a post about it, let me find it...
i have alwasy used the lil inserts taht look like bullets but this time i tried the gel that is inserted with a tube, just like a tampon i guess. Anyway, i always had discharge on those other ones but it was like snotty (TMI, sorry) and this time when i wipe its like clumpy and dry (again, sorry TMI) - so annoying this crap. Thx for the post, im gonna check it out!!!
