Can not having an orgasm have affects on ttc?

Kind of a really personal question, but I have been wondering about this. I was sexually abused by my dad when I was little and still really have an emotional wall up when it comes to sex. Because of this I don't believe I have ever really had an orgasm. Sometimes it feels really good, but I don't think to the point of an orgasm. My poor DH has tried for yrs but nothing. Although as time goes by, I am opening up more and more, but I have read on other posts how an orgasm will help to..I guess grab the spermies. Do you think this could be a problem? We have been ttc for 6 months now. I have always wondered and been to ashamed to ask before.
Annie, I too was sexually molested as a child. I'm glad Dr. Q confirmed the pregnancy question. I just wanted to share w/you that it took me a long time to orgasm,too. My ex-boyfriend (at the time)tried his hardest! It was not until I join the army and uncle sam whipped me into shape that had the big one. It was soo very effortlessly, too. Boy was I shocked!! My recommendation is to get you some good exercise that works you stomach muscles. This is key. It will happen for you!! And oh yeah...baby dust...HaHa!!
Thank you so much for your comment Mrs. Trgn!!! I feel so bad for DH because he tries SOOOO hard...and for so long...8 yrs now. I will definately bump up my crunches and such. I am constantly in the battle with my body...as are most women, but I am generally fairly fit. Of course I could loose...well I think 20#, but maybe that will be my new motivation :-). I'm glad that this post was helpful to you. I was kind of embarssed to post it because I feel so bad for DH, but it was always on my mind. I am use to it so it doesn't really affect me as much as it does him...poor guy.
That's what we are all here for. I always tell people I could shed a small toddler and tell have weight to spare. HaHa! Just relax, exercise and enjoy bd as much as you can. Focus and use those stomach muscles girl ;-) and enjoy the ride. Oh yeah and talk to him in those crucial(spelling)moments. I look forward to you testimony!

I dont think not having an O really matters. If u have sex on your fertile days whether u O or not, you can get preggo. Yes during O, the uterus does contract and may help the spermies, but its not going to ruin ur chances of getting preggo. Time the intercourse using Ovulation kits and u shud be fine assuming u n hubby r healthy n ur periods are regular. Good Luck
