More than likely, your reg doc will refer you to an re to get a rx for femara, but you never know until you ask! Best of Luck!! Femara has been wonderful for me!

Hi Monique,

Regular doc's may not know about Femara and how it works..this will most likely be the case. But, if you bring materials and articles saying what it's for, and the doc understands, they may Rx it to you...Otherwise, an RE may be open to giving this, so long as you understand that the manufacturer doesn't accept Femara to be used for fertility purposes..

if it is not use for this purpose what is it use for?

Its mainly manufactured on the market as a treatment for breast cancer in post-menopauseal (sp?) women.

if you type in femara in the search box,it will bring up a bunch if info. Dr.Q just wrote an article about different treatments for infertility and he wrote on femara and how it works.
