he didnt say a lot abotu the caffieine, it was the carbonation.
I stopped cold turkey on monday so i am a week into it.
I am angry about it, but honestly, its not all that terrible.
I miss the Dt Mt Dew for sure but we have it in the frige and i havnt touched it since sunday :)
Im sure plenty of people get preggo while drinking soda but i figured its better for my health anyway so why not give it a shot.
He said to me "up until your reach 25 you can pretty much do whatever you want to your body and recover and get preggo, after that your body isnt as kind and forgiving" lol

I was told to lay off the caffeine while TTC as well. Its not good for infertility issues and stuff. So I switched to caffeine free everything.
And actually the diet coke caffeine free tastes way better to me then the regular diet coke.
Goodluck, I know the caffeine headaches SUCK if you get them but you will get through them!

I LOVE my Mountain Dew!....and Dr. Pepper, Coke, and Pepsi, LOL.
When I was doing a fitness and strength training program several months ago, I had to keep a food journal every day and could not drink it at all. Thats actually what helped me to cut back when I started drinking it again...but anyways when I stopped drinking it, I was a total hag to be around! LOL

You can get Pepsi Caffeine Free, and Decaff Tea. Thats all I drink now is Decaff Tea with Splenda in it, but im pregnant and I avoid caffeine for the most part.
Also when pregnant its best to avoid aspartain, and diet drinks have it them, so its best to stick with a regular caffeine free drink instead, but then they say watch out for Sugar, but im sure 1 a day is fine pregnant, and not pregnant if you are used to drinking regular drinks and it doesnt effect your weight, then yeah just switch to caffeine free :)

gotcha... maybe i will drink that instead =) thanks ladies.... man- i hope I get pregnant this month- its killing me.. I swear.. My gums were bleeding again this morning. not bad. just once when I spit my toohtpaste out! lol so i am hoping and praying.... and i have great teeth no cavities or anything. so its not like their bleeding due to bad hygine! lol
tea is ok, no more than 300mg of caffeine a day is what the RE told me, obvioulsy less is better tho.
Is there lots of sugar in the mcD's sweet tea? Im so needed new things to drink. I drink 32 oz water with some sort of crystal light or sugar free something in it and then once i finish that sucker i drink a vit water or half water half juice but im guessing it will get old very fast.
I dont care for milk, doesnt sit well in my stomach but i do have a protein shake with nonfat yogurt, frozen berries, protein powder and skim milk and that is good too :)

Oh im sure there is a BUTT LOAD of sugar in that McDonalds sweet tea. Get some Decaff tea, and put 1 1/2 cups of Splenda in it for a gallon, TASTES SOO YUMMY!!!! I highly recommend it. No carbs, no sugar, and no caffeine, what more can you ask for :)
I drink it all the time since I dont drink hardly any caffeine while pregnant, and afterwards I will drink this while breastfeeding to avoid caffeine, but once im done it will be regular tea with splenda still. Im a big NO CARBS NO SUGAR person, just un added weight comes along with that for me.

LaurieH,
I am the same as you. I love soda. I have 3 daughters and a boy on the way. I drank soda with all my pregnancies and didn't have any complications because of it. I am not overweight and didn't gain too much weight with any of my pregnancies. I did however have a hard time concieving my firs and my last. With my last my cycle were irregular and I was not ovulating every month. Nothing to do with the soda.
