Can an ovary surgery also risk damage to the blatter?

When my Dr was talking to me about the possible risks of having this tumor removed from my ovary, there were several things he mentioned. Of course, all I heard at the time was that I could lose an ovary but now some of the other stuff is starting to sink in-such as he said there is a risk of damage to my bladder & uriter(sp). Why would that be? When I 1st got to the Dr the nurse asked me if I was having any bladder problems that I knew of but I did not think anything of it at the time because as far as I knew I was not. Is this because they are located in the same area so to speak or should I be more concerned & question my Dr? I have a pre-op apt tomorrow for test so I am going to try & go over some of this stuff with the nurse but I am kinda nervous about this now as I already have bladder infections from time due to the kidney stones & def do not need anymore problems in that area.
