Can a BFN at 10/11 days past iui turn into a BFP? Someone?

I don't know the answer to your question but my thoughts and prayers are with you. Maybe the test is not that sensitive or implantation occured later? Crossing my fingers for you!

Give it a few more days...I know you are so worried about this and want that bfp and now and I so hope you do dear Janet:)))) but give it a few more days ok and remember dear it's not over until af comes...loves ya dear and loads of ***babydust***

Hi Janet, I had an IUI on 11/20 and I was kind of wondering the same thing. I have no symptoms whatsoever. I had 2-3 follicles w/ 43 million sperm. I really don't think it worked though. I know lots of women on this site get a bfp around 14dpo, and it just depends on when implantation occurs, which takes 6-12 days. I can't help feeling the way you do, but I think the correct answer is that it's still to early. You need to test again at 12 & 14dpiui.

My RE always does IUIs 36 hours after the trigger shot. Since the shot makes you ovulate about 36 hrs later, your IUI was well timed--no need to worry about that part.

With last months IUI, I also had 5 follies & 20 million sperm after the wash. I got a bfp at 15dpiui, but it was a chemical pregnancy (hcg was only 17). I thought maybe the reason it took so long to get a bfp was because it was abnormal. I had VERY low estradiol (E2) though, it was only about 100, and should have been about 1,000. So, I may have had some crappy eggs :(

Thanks for the welcome Angelfish. I am hoping that it is too early to show up. The frustration with waiting is excrutiating for me as I am sure it is with everyone else. Hoping for a BFP for you Janet in a few days! Will pray that it goes by fast for you. Lots os baby dust coming your way!

I was a BFN until 11dpiui. Then I gave up, & on 14dpiui, I tested bcz something was going on, but I wasnt wanting to be hopeful! It was my BFP!!! So....remember implantation can occur later....if it was not to have occured til day 12 (which my RE says is possible) then there is no way a BFP could show up b4 day 14!!! Good Luck!!

I think it may be too early. As others have posted in various discussions, they would get a BFN and the next day it was BFP. Don't give up hope yet! I got a BFN and then a BFP 12 hours later. All I did was cry after it and my BF talked me into another because I was overly emotional. I said I was giving up if it was BFN again.

I agree, it's probably just too early. I didn't get a BFP until 12 DPO, and it was so very faint even then.

Give it a couple of more days and test again with FMU.

before knowing everything per this site I did now with the knowledge I have gained 12dpo is for me now even if I'm late because of my lovely miscarriage history with stupid chemicals....grrrr

no, I did not test before 12 DPO, we were visiting NYC so that helped keep my mind off of things.

But since my line was sooooo very faint, I know it would have looked like a BFN if I would have tested any earlier.

Well I just have to wait but I have no high hopes as I have no symptoms!

I tested again this morning and I got another bfn so I am sure that my iui did not work! I am wondering...........what can be worng? Does it make sense to do another iui? I am afraid that if the first one did not take how can the second work? Do you know abut anyone who failed iui's when everything looked great and finally had success. I am so overwhelmed.

sorry hun, this is hard and i know it all too well.

Sometimes it can take longer with the IUI's than we want.

My doc said there is no reason to do more than 3 medicated IUI's before moving on to IVF.

Yes it is so hard..............I am really upset and to be honest very dishearthened!

Hi Janet, so sorry to hear you got another BFN.

I had my second iui on the 14th Nov and got my AF on 13dpiui was such a shock again everything was perfect for this iui, lots of lovely follies and fine healthy sperm so I totally feel for you Janet, and know what you're going thru so frustrating. I cried for the day when my AF came (so early!)

I know people who have got their BFP on their second IUI so I would encourage you to go again. I'm not going again I'm moving onto IVF in the new year as the odds are better we don't have the funds to try another IUI (with odds being so low!)

Taking a break now over the Holidays my heart or head can't take anymore at the moment, building myself up for the new year and for my BFP!!!!!!!!!! (power of positive thinking!)

Janet defo do another IUI maybe with injectibles (that's what I did last cycle) Chin up buddy it will absolutely happen for you.

Hamy I am also sorry for your bfn and happy for you that you're moving onto IVF. Here in Malta IVF is not so common and besides I have to pay it from my own pocket as I don't have insurance to cover it. I feel that my dream is fading away. I will consider IVF but after 3 IUI's!

Are injectables better than clomid?
