Calculating how far along you are

October 17, 2008

Okay, so Jolene and i have been trying to figure out the whole "how far along are we" thing, and what does it mean?

For example, if someone is 7 weeks/2 days, does that mean they're 2 days into their 7th week OR they're 7 full weeks, + 2 days, which means those 2 days are at the beginning of their 8th week?

What do y'all think?

October 17, 2008

No if you are 7 wks 2 days..you are 2 days into your 8th wk

October 17, 2008

okay, that's what we thought : )So you've completed 7 full weeks, and you're basically starting week 8. THanks Kelli!!!

I'm actually 7 weeks tomorrow, and going monday for my 7 week/2 day u/s!! So excited!!!

Awe so exciting Michaela! Can't wait to see your beauty!

I know you're excited you're having a little girl now--we have a 4 yr old little girl named Savannah, so we'd be thrilled to have a boy next! But it truly doesn't matter as long as its healthy. Baby #2 has been a long time coming, so we're happy with either!!!

Congrats again!!!!!

Kelli, we kind'a went thru the same thing. Baby #1 took us just 3 months, and this one took 21 (and 1 m/c and a chemical). But all in God's timing. He wanted us to appreciate this one, i'm sure, and it's completely worth all the pain and struggle, looking back. We're soooooo blessed to be having our # 2 : )

Awe, isn't that something! Looking back I'm glad it actually took longer..more spacing..but it was a rough road. Hugs to you Michaela! I know how it goes!

Our lil guy is Logan and he is almost 3 1/2 :)

Savannah turned 4 in august, so these two will be not quite 5 months apart, since i'm due first week of june. i went a month early with savannah though, so it could be a may baby!! I'd be happy with that! The earlier the better!!

Is this the last one for y'all?

October 17, 2008

WOW-- i mean not quite 5 YEARS apart! 5 months would be amazing!! ha ha!! it's the pregnancy--bad memory!! LOL

October 17, 2008

OMG, no way! Mine was at 35 wks and for no reason. Michaela talk to your doc about progesterone shots/or suppositories. They started me at 16 wks and continue to 37 wks. Studies show it reduce premie risk by 2/3!!!

Yep, last one!

October 17, 2008

i'm on them now : ) Actually the suppositories. I had 5 rounds of clomid and on the last round he added progesterone, b/c i have an extremely low natural progesterone (2.6) which is why he put me on clomid. But adding the progesterone this month obviously helped! Before i was pregnant, he told me that as soon as i knew i was preg, to call them so they could get me on progesterone for the first trimester, but since it was my last shot on CLomid, they gave it to me starting day 17 of last month, and he's having me take it all the way thru week 12 : )

Actually ,when savannah was born, they were expecting her to be smaller, less developed, but she was perfectly healthy--6 lbs,7 oz. They decided they must've been 2 weeks off on the due date, and she was just 2 weeks early .

Oh, ok gotcha! She was nice sized then. Mine was 6 lbs even at 35 wks.

Good luck and keep me posted Monday! :)
