Boating & Running in Early Pregnancy

This may be a dumb question, but is it safe to go boating in early pregnancy? It can be quite bouncy at times. Also, I'm a runner though I was afraid to run during my 2ww. Is it safe to run in early pregnancy? I know Dr. Q has said that one shouldn't raise their heart rate above 140 but that seems low. Thanks

It's ok to go boating with little to no risk, and ok to run, but don't overdo it

Thanks! Sorry last one. Is biking ok?

i think that anything that your body is used to is a-ok as long as you dont over due it.

If you didnt bike, boat or run before the pregnancy then its a terrible time to pick it up as a hobby! LOL!

Thanks! I was pretty active before so it's hard not to be. I think I'll continue everything just at a safer and more leisurely pace. It's tough because it took me so long to get pregnant - I don't want to screw anything up!

i understand BP - but you have the right attitude! just do what you like but listen to you body and if it feels like too much then it probably is :)

Hey BP! Iwas the same way...always very active and running. I ran for a little bit but then got worried. My doc said it was absolutely fine and really good for the pregnancy. So I just switched to walking lots. It helped keep my weight in check and make for a pretty easy labor and recovery. Biking though may not be great just b/c thre is more risk for an accident. BUt do whatever your doc and you are comfortable with. But exercise is great for you and your little one!!! Hugs and congrats asgain!
