Yes Donna these need to be done on CD 3. But if u didnt have a true period for a while n the Drs dont know when to start, they may do it on a random date to know where u r in ur cycle.

But yes FSH need to be done on CD3 to determine ovarian reserve

thanks hopen i did tell the doc when my period was but she shouldnt really be doing my blood tests as i have a child and need to go private,she put on the bloodtest form that we didnt know how long my cycles were,maybe thats the reason

its ok to do progesteron n pco tests cd 19. only fsh n prolactin shud be done cd 3.

I wanted to get you this infor for you about what you are looking for in the test results *HOPE* am I right on these numbers...I was thinking off the top of my head with the numbers and not 100% sure I'm correct...let me know if I'm off with anything...

Follicle Stimulating < 10 mIU/ml > 15 mIU/ml -

Hormone (FSH)

Luteinising Hormone

(LH) < 7 mIU/ml > 15 mIU/ml -

Prolactin < 25 ng/ml

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone 0.4 - 3.8 uIU/ml

(TSH)
