Blighted Ovum/ D&C

At my appointment today, my u/s did not show a heartbeat. This is the 3rd u/s in 2 weeks that has not shown a heartbeat, so my doctor diagnosed me with a blighted ovum, said sorry, at least you know you can get pregnant, and then scheduled me with a D&C for Friday. Can anyone please share their experience, so I can know what to expect? I am heartbroken right now, and terrified of the unknown to top it off. I asked again about the spotting I have had for the last week, and my doctor told me that my body has been trying to miscarry. Wow...I feel so empty and alone right now....

im sorry he wasnt more kind to you - it never feels good when you loose a baby even if you "can get pregnant"

I had a m/c last july and still trying to get preggo so i understand what you are going thru, it is terribly hard to move on.

Take care and know that it does get better with time.

My heart goes out to you. I also, had a blighted ovum last year & had to have a D & C. I know what your going thru & I'm sorry.

I'm so sorry you are going through this! I can't imagine going through that and then having an insensitive doctor to top it off. It's going to be hard no matter how far along you are and no matter what anybody says! I will keep you and dh in my prayers!!!! ((((((((HUGS))))))))))
