blighted ovum

I dont think so. Its due to chromosomal problems with the embryo. If you have it once, doesnt mean u will have keep having it again.

I had a blighted ovum in January 08 and was told that I should have a normal pregnancy the next time b/c I already have a 3 yr old. I got pregnant again in April and the same thing happened. I am still going to through the testing, but there is really nothing you can do to prevent it unless there is a proven problem( Hormones, sperm, etc.) I am now seeing an RE, so when I know I will post something. Good Luck in the future and I am so sorry for your loss, Ive been there! :( Keep your head up.

Chanel- I just had one and was told there is nothing that can be done. Although, if you have more than one, your doctor will probably want to run a series of tests...stay positive!
