bleeding during pregnancy

bleeding can be quite common in early pregnancy and your cervix is more sensitive. Just take it easy and follow your ob's instructions. If the bleeding has stopped and you're not cramping I'd think that all is well

Sunitha, I know it is scary. I have bled during both of my pregnancies during the first trimester, more times after sex or a BM. It can be normal and you did the right thing going to the ER and made sure everything is ok. Right now your cervix is very tender and sex can cause you to bleed or spot. If you are on baby aspirin that can also increase the amount of bleeding you will see. I was never ordered bed rest but told to keep my Dr's posted of any bleeding, call if there were any clots, full flow and to not have sex until there was no spotting or bleeding for at least a week. I was also told that semen can irritate the cervix causing it to bleed as well. hope this helps. **sticky glue**
