I keep reading on different websites that birth control pills can actually preserve fertility by preventing endometrosis from forming while on the pills. Is this correct? Since my husband and I are waiting another year to start trying I'm worried about endometrosis. I am 27 and my mother doesn't have it. What are my chances of getting endometrosis?

minimal, given your age and history chances are you're ok...

There is no significant evidence out there that birth control pills preserves fertililty in any way...although I can see why a statement was made to where it may help with endometriosis
