I've used Prometrium and it didn't work. Isn't Provera the same thing?
Birth Control and Clomid?

Hi. I have PCOS. I have been taking Matformin and Progesterone. I talked to a RE and he told me that after 3 months on Metformin, we may need to try Cloimd. But, he said, before starting the Clomid, that they'd put me on birth control for 1 cycle to regulate it.
Why would they do this? It doesn't make sense to me.

Consider maybe using Provera instead of birth control pills to get you to withdraw bleed, would be a little shorter but either is ok...These methods are done so that Clomid can be started appropriately so that it can work
