Opinions pls: Does anyone know the proper etiquette for birth announcements when the parents are not married and the child takes the fathers last name. Most announcements have parents name at bottom. Ex: Bob & Mary Smith...I guess you could leave the parents name off, but what fun is that.. Suggestions needed

I would just say baby's full name and then your and bf's first names at the bottom. Shutterfly has cute stuff you can do online.

SBF- I would say something like

Sarah Fergerson and Brian..(last name)

are proud to welcome

(baby's name)

Born on ...etc

thats fine.. its not a secret you are not married, I am sure the people you send this to already know your are BF/GF

i did the old school ones that you wrote in and my "baby daddy" (lol) and i just put our names, his first. We did put that the baby had his last name cuz we announced her with first, middle and last.

Whatever you are comfy with is fine - everyone can just kiss butt if they have an issue! ;)
