Well, I'm still 1 cm dilated, but she said its more loose now. I'm also still 90% effaced but she said my cervix is more "soft" and "ripe" now. She said it feel ready.
She would not strip my membranes today, she said I have to be 38 weeks.. so, I'll be going back Friday to get them stripped. She said if it doesn't work the first time, she'll do it at each appointment...
There is no way she will induce... which really is fine by me as long as she's willing to strip the membranes... inductions aren't allowed on first babies electively until 41 weeks at the hospital where I will be delivering. You have to have a medical reason or be 41 weeks pregnant.
She told me in the meantime to take 2 evening primrose oil capsules every day, and to insert one up near the cervix at night.. so... I'm going to do that!
So.. looks like I'll at least be pregnant til friday! :o)
