Dr.Q I went tubbing Sat.and im a couple weeks pregnant could this cause a m/c? And also could yelling and getting mad cause a m/c also??

I sat in a hot tub when I was about 3 wks prego with my baby.. and he was fine. The biggest thing is not staying in the hot tub for more than 10-15 min at a time.. but if it happened already.. you're probably fine.. just don't make a habit of long stays in the hot tub.

Getting stressed can cause problems, as the baby gets all of your stress hormones through the placenta.. not sure if it could actually cause a m/c though

lol tubbing is in a round thing and you sit in it an ride through the waves behind the boat

Then that would be "tubing" or even "toobing". ;)

How far along are you?

I know that all that stuff is not very safe at all. We are on the lake a good bit here in SC, and I wont get on a tube, ski, knee board, jet ski, or any of that, even if I was 5 weeks pregnant or 21weeks pregnant (current).

Its better to be safe.

From my experience also when I was 4weeks pregnant I went snow skiing, and well we dont know if it was that, or just wasnt meant to be, but I did miscarry that baby. I never fell or anything, and I truely think it wasnt meant to be as I was super careful and didnt even ski that much, but still will never know.

Hope all is ok with you sweetie and im sure it is!

Yeah i was careful i didnt fall off or anything but i didnt know i was preg. till today

Ahh then im sure you are fine. Just try not to do that anymore...haha, I know it sucks and makes the lake not AS much fun, but you know...haha.

Wishing you the best and dont worry to much you probably werent straining to much, and lots of people have done worse and everything is just fine.

Sticky glue and happy and healthy 9 months, and oh CONGRATS!!!!

Hi Shelly! :-) When I was prego with my eldest, I didn't know until I was almost 5 months (long story..hehe!), but before that, I was working, doing lifting, and even HORSE BACK RIDING!! Yikes! Since my periods were very irregular before (would not get my periods even for 6 months straight), I thought I was just gaining weight, so I would work out even harder and increased my work-out reps--including crunches!! :-D But the baby turned out normal and healthy. I honestly thought she was going to be distorted with all of my wierd activities that I did when I didn't know that I was prego.

Really? Everything was fine?? Thats amazing what all you did and she was fine that makes me feel awhole lot better! =)

July 15, 2008

LOL! Yup, that's with my eldest. My hpt were all negative too...it was a really weird pregnancy. Since my pregnancy was not confirmed until I had an u/s at almost 20 weeks, I wouldn't have known I had a human being growing in my womb! My doc said, since I was pretty active before hand, my body wasn't really in shock with the rough activities that I was doing. But of course, I stopped working out right away after that. hehehe! I even remember the first words that came in my mouth during the u/s when the doc said--"The fetus is between 18-20 weeks old." And I said--"Alive???" Yep! Alive & kickin' indeed...that's Bella's big sister, Chantal. :-)

Thats sooo amazing!! Truely a miracle!
