Ladies...a bit about me. I am 38 and I have been ttc for about 14 months. I took 6 months of Clomid unsuccessful and just finished a natural cycle. I ovulate on my own and we are using meds to super-ovulate. I have never been pregnant before. I am starting Femara 2.5mg days 3-7 tomorrow and I thought it would be great to reach out and chat with others who are on the drug or who have a success story to share. Please feel free to share your side effects, thoughts and experiences in general. I am also curious to see if there are some of you that switched from Clomid to Femara and got a BFP.

Well 3 cycles of Femara and hoping 3 is the lucky number for me. No side effects like clomid which is great! I did have hot flashes a few of the nights but that was minor. Overall it's done it's job, 2 out of 3 months. I just haven't gotten the bfp yet. But it did grow the follie(s) like it's supposed to. Good luck to you both and hopefully this is your wonder drug!!! Baby dust girls! Are they monitoring you with 14 day u/s and then 21 day progesterone?

Frustrated...I am not being monitored. I am doing OPK and continuing to record my temps to confirm ovulation. After I have 3 IUI's + Femara and if no PG I will be referred to an RE.

Baby_hopes from what I briefly read it looks like you switched from Clomid to Femara too. I really hope this works for all of us!!!!

thanks jamie i really hope it work too yes i did 3rounds of clomid 2 50mg n 1 100mg i ovulated on the 1st n 2nd round but no pregnancy so im really hoping femara does the job good luck to you n frustrated

im on cd 4 and will start my femara tonight. I remember taking this before and i had 3 follies, i done clomid but always produce 1 folley. I know femara does work and produce few extra eggs so i hope this will do the trick. Good luck girls... we are cycle buddies.

Jamie, make an appointment now to see an RE now. Getting an appointment with them usually puts you at least a month out. Find the best in your state. You can always cancel that appointment.

Word to the wise-beware of the fermara bottle. My DH had a melt down when he read "do not use if your P or trying to become P". Mind you I had already tried to explain why it said that.

Call me sensitive but I had crazy dreams and felt anxious. Also, I had bad lower back pains from days 7-13.

I am a Femara success story!! I got prego on my second cycle of Femara, cd's 3-7..i am currently 23 weeks prego! I took clomid first with poor results, had to trigger to O with Ovidrel and it thinned my lining too much, Femara worked for me and i am sure it will work for you ladies as well!!! :) Good luck!
