hi im new to this but i want to make some iui buddies that can share their experiences with me. I just did my first iui on sunday 8/24. i used clomid and the hcg shot... i am praying this will work. (baby dust to us all***) after i had my iui done, i started throwing up. has that happend to anyone before? i have also been feeling quezzy since then but i think its beacuse of the prenatals.
Hi all --
My beta (blood) test is scheduled for Sept. 4 unless I get my period first, when I would just cancel my test. Let's hope that doesn't happen. Anyway, I'd never make it until the blood test, so of course, I'll take a hpt this weekend and see what's up (if anything).
What were your post-wash sperm counts all?

I see my OB/GYN so they don't have teh equipment to do counts on washed sperm.... they'd have to send it to a lab (who happens to be in the building), but that would take time.
I'm going to start seeing a RE in October and I'm sure they'll do the counting pre-IUI. Hubby needs to be re-tested. He underwent a month-long course of antibiotics to get rid of some white blood cells and hopefully increase motility.

Hi there Jess! I know what you mean about the prenatals. They make me ill as well. I've never thrown up but they give me nausea and heartburn. I take the chewables because I'm a wimp who can't handle large pills.
My hubbies washed sperm count last time was 7 million and it was 6 million when I got pregnant with my son. They say 10-20 million is best but anything over 5 million is ok.
How many follies did you guys have?

yea i take them in the morning right after breakfast, and about an hour later i start feeling quesy, hopefully my body will adjust to them. when i did my iui my husbands sperm count was 27 mill, and 97 % motility.. what do you think the chances of me getting pregnant with numbers like that are? i did one round of clomid 100 mg, the hcg shot and had my iui done on sunday 8/24..
I start my Clomid tomorrow. Any suggestions as to what time of day is best to take it? I can't remember what time of day I took it when trying to conceive my son. Plus I'm a little nervous since I will be taking double the dosage as back then. I remember it making me PMSish.
How did your IUI go Melissa? What were the sperm numbers?

Juls.
Since I'm seeing OB/GYN, they don't actually run a S/A in house, so all I know is that numbers were "down" and that white blood cells showed up again.
My OB asked us to make hub a followup appointment with urology. Hub took a month of doxycycline. He told us it could take up to 3 months to work. So, we'll see on Friday at the appointment.
The IUI itself went fine. I really like my doc... actually, I have a crush on him! He's sooo cute! It's actually the first time I've had a male GYN since high school! But, he was the one on staff the weekend I was on hospital bedrest and had my daughter. So, I kinda got to know him a little bit thru the delivery process.

I was on hospital bedrest with my son as well. I went into pre-term labor at 31 weeks. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks and home bedrest for just under 3 weeks. In the hospital I was on magnesium sulfate and terbutaline and had a terb pump when I came home. My son was born at 36 1/2 weeks. He was totally healty and is turning 3 in Sept. Funny...my first male GYN experience was with the Dr. on staff that night I went in for preterm labor. Turns out he was my OB/GYN's back up and she was on vacation in CA so he treated me for about a week. No crush though...old dude from the pacific islands...real nice though.
